Healthcare debate

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34352187/ns/health-health_care

Currently there is a reported 36-40 million American Citizens (46 if you count the visa workers not eligible) without health insurance. The white house states 12 million people cannot get insurance due to pre-existing conditions. This healthcare bill which is stated to cover 12-16 million more people as it explains 24 million people would remain uninsured. So to cover 12-16 million people the government wants to spend 100 billion dollars per year for at least 10 years. Ok so basically they want us tax payers to spend $6250-$8333 per person per year and then the people still need to pay for the health insurance? Even if at a discounted rate really what are we paying for? The $6250 is more than individual coverage alone in it's current state. On top of this increase in taxes that essentially pay for nothing all of our insurance rates will go up. Hardest hit will be 20-39 year olds who will see a minimum of a 15% increase in insurance premiums. Oh yeah and that is not even taking into consideration the additional people they will allow into the golden Medicare plans which will also raise everyone else's premiums even higher. I do not care what party you belong to this math does not add up. Do we need change, yes, is this the change we need, NO. *Note, if you want to argue bring real numbers that make sense.
